Hypo Study logo

We are looking for volunteer practices to take part in a research study looking at the frequency of hypoglycaemia in Type 2 diabetes in Primary Care

Recent evidence suggests that the frequency of hypoglycemia in people with type 2 diabtes is higher than previously thought; however more data is needed to draw any firm conculsions.

The study covers all of Leicesteshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland, with the aim to involve around 20-30 general practices. A total of 2000 participants are required (Approx 80 patients per practice)

The general practice will:

  • Inform the research team of the number of potentially eligible participants

The Research team will:

  • Attend the practice to recruit volunteers in person]provide participants who consent with a questionnaire for them to complete on site
  • collect biomedical onformation from the practices records
