The Safe use of insulin – diabetes course wins an Award The module has only been launched recently and the great effort put into it by the diabetes team has been commended- adding another notch to our centre of Excellence
The Healthcare-e Acadamy designs e-learning models for healthcare professionals and they provided the graphics for this module. This module had the highest rate of access seen in that it was only launched on 16th June. The website from NHS Diabetes promoting the module also had 22, 000 hits in the first 4 weeks.
NHS Diabetes launches a new online training course on the safer use of insulinThe online learning “Safe use of insulin” e-learning module tool was developed by our very own Diabetes Team here in Leicestershire. Helen Atkins (DSN), Dr Rob Gregory (Consultant Diabetologist- Head of Service) and June James (Nurse Consultant) have all been working on the tool for the National Patient Safety Agency and NHS Diabetes
