The Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) has published a new guideline on diabetes. 'Management of diabetes' provides recommendations based on current evidence for best practice in the management of diabetes, updating SIGN Guideline 55. A number of new areas have been added to this selective update including new sections on glucose lowering agents for people with type 2 diabetes and psychosocial factors.
